Support Sherando HS Girls Softball to have their own field after 23 years of no field!!!

This is for my girls!!

I remember playing for Sherando at the same park from 1993-1995. It is way overdue for this school to have a legit softball field for the lady warriors.

They are a well deserved school and players that show there heart on their sleeve to play and represent their school. They very much deserve one.

Make the baseball team play one season at the park, I'm sure something would be done then

Dang, I saw y'all playing over there a few times, but I figured that was cause baseball had a game that day (I assumed y'all normally just used the baseball stadium). After seeing this petition, yes, this is a big problem

As a member of the 2011 Varsity team, I can attest to the fact that the girls still not having a field is sad. It was a part of daily conversation with the team during my 4 years playing at Sherando how frustrating it was having to walk, find a ride/carpool, wait in traffic (potentially making us late for game warm-ups or practices because we couldn't cut through around the tennis courts up by the pool, that'd have been too easy). Give them a field! It's that easy.

Needed it when I pitched there!!!

I was on the team in 2011 and it was tough not being able to play at home against millbrook. But even before then my freshamen and sophomore year with no car was always the worst walking to practice it's time softball has gotten their own filed if baseball can get one so can softball!

The Sherando Girls Softball Team deserves a softball field. It will improve their excellence and skill in the sport to have a field to call HOME.

This needs to be fixed.

I was a part of the 2011 varsity softball team, (formerly Shelby Riley). Softball was a pivotal part of my up bringing. Every second was dedicated to softball and school. I dreamed of the day I would play high school softball and then the day I would be able to play college softball. But even on those days when my dreams came true, something was lacking. Even in college, my softball team did not have its own field. Having your own field gives one the full sense of unity, family and pride. Having to play at Millbrook High School for our "home" regional game simply felt wrong. To be able to look at a score board and have it say Lady Warriors or be in a dig out that scream black and red pride would have given everyone a boost, even the fans that we lacked because we were far from the school. Not only does it give the team a sense of school spirit but it gives students the same feeling. Too many high school and college female athletes are not given the same opportunities as their fellow male athletes receive. These young girls deserve a field to call their own, and this is not limited to just softball, this extends to soccer, field hockey, lacrosse, tennis, and every other sport I haven't listed. Please find a way to make this happen for these girls coming through now and the ones for the future.

If the boys have one the girls need one! Although the girls should of had it first!!

I say those girls deserve it. The boys have a nice field go warriors. I have 3nieces all 3 were softball players Haley miles,lacie Taylor and Ashley Taylor

Having been one of the SHS softball girls, I always questioned why we never had our own field while the baseball team kept getting upgrades to theirs... Getting a softball field is way overdue for SHS..
