Act To Change is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is the only national organization focused on bullying among Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) youth using an interdisciplinary approach spanning education, public health, and civil rights. Act To Change envisions a world where all youth have the opportunity to grow up feeling proud and supported in their identities. www.acttochange.org

Asian American history is American history. Without recognizing its existence and important contributions that Asian American have made to this nation since 19th century, it is in denial of American history itself.

I fully support the incorporation of Asian American History into the American History which is overdue. We deserve the respects and honors from our contributions for the U. S. in the past, present and in the future.

We've all heard the phrase that America's the cultural melting pot, yet we've rarely looked at the ingredients. We've all tried setting aside a month for Asian American Heritage Month in May, but not many citizens even know what to celebrate or commensurate. Let's identify the numerous contributions of the many Asian predecessors who helped build the America we now know.

There should be one required unit to all students and a few electives for whom are interested in more.

Support. Diverse curriculum improves cognitive skills and critical thinking by presenting students with cultures and views that may differ from their own. Scientific American notes, "Diversity jolts us into cognitive action in ways that homogeneity simply does not." Further, diverse curriculum prepares students for adulthood in their preparedness to work alongside people from diverse backgrounds, and equips them with the knowledge necessary for increased and enhanced civic engagement. This is a benefit for all Marylanders.
