I am a full time Sandbridge resident and have never had an issue with event homes or weddings negatively impacting my quality of life or the quality of life of my family.

I've owned a home in Sandbridge for two years and my family previously owned one from 1978-1997. Sure, the place has changed but it has always been a resort destination community. Keep special events.

This petition is obviously worded in a very vague way so that people will sign it. Of course everyone knows that Sandbridge is a "resort destination community." Duh! Ya think? No one wants to stop the traditional family-oriented weekly rentals in Sandbridge. I know I don't - I own a home and rent it out to weekly visitors. The real issue is large money-making events that are not appropriate for Sandbridge Beach as a residential community. It is the realty companies who make money from these events who are trying to scare people into thinking that maybe in the future you can't get married in Sandbridge or have a family reunion. Their disinformation campaign, including this petition, is dishonest and unprofessional. If you sign this petition, you either work for one of the realty companies or you have been bamboozled.

I own a home in Sandbridge and do not want you to pass this events provision. Sandbridge is a favorite place of mine to get away with my family. This provision will ruin these memories for other families getting together. Don't let a few squeaky wheels ruin a great beach and the local economy.

I own a home in Sandbridge (and I live in Hilltop) that is not large enough to be considered an event property. However, I have never been adversely affected by guests of the bigger homes. My sister and her friends have come every year for the past 15 years, rented the larger homes, and have made wonderful memories and traditions at Sandbridge. How terrible that a small group wants to ruin the beauty of Sandbridge for others. For a city where tourism is a major economic engine, I can't think of a less welcoming and fool hearty stance.

I am a realtor and a neighbor. Sandbridge is a Gem that needs to continue to allow Event Homes. It is one of the reasons people come back year after year!! Don't let a small majority ruin it for the rest of us.

Our extended family has been coming to sandbridge for over 20 years as a way get together. Having a large house allowed us to be together in one place and was economical . Eventually we purchased a home because we love the area so much. And now we are able to gift weeks to family members that normally could not afford to stay. We love the idea of having a home where families can gather and enjoy the beach and each other.

I got married on the beach in Sandbridge and had the reception in one of Jean Siebert's houses. The venue was perfect and no laws were broken. Let people enjoy this beautiful location and build memories that will keep them coming back year after year!

Our friends and family have come to Sandbridge for 20 years to vacation together. There have always been at least forty of us in four or five houses just fellowshipping together and enjoying each other at the beautiful beach. Sandbridge has always held a special place in our hearts because of the memories we have shared there. If this situation changes and we are not allowed to come together as a large group of friends, our children's children will never know the special memories we have made there. We bought a house to use for such occasions in Sandbridge, because of what we have been able to experience. We allow families to come from all over to make their memories there. We have a journal that our guest share what memories they have had in Sandbridge and their desires to return. Please do not change what has been a great situation for our family, our friends and guest that have stayed at our home.

We have been coming to Sandbridge as a family for over 30 years now. We started coming because it wasn't a party community but rather a family centered community. We are still coming for that reason and recently bought a home there. Our family as of right now has 21 people in it. It's only family and since we are all scattered all over the place, we consider this our place to reconnect.

Our family has been having reunion type vacations in Sandbridge since the 70's. We bought our home so that we could carry the tradition on as our family grows. Our house is small in comparison, but we support the idea of large family gatherings and celebrations in Sandbridge homes. This does not include building of condominiums and the like, which I would not support if I had the choice.

Sandbridge has always been a place for families to gather. When our immediate family gets together in Sandbridge for a cookout - its an event! With 18 people and lots of teen drivers, our driveway is full of cars. We've often had 4th of July or Christmas parties and had over 100 in attendance. Its rediculus to regulate how we use our private property in this way. We are also always respectful of our neighbors.
