Keep the special events. What you should object to is the continuous presence of the ice cream truck all day long playing the same jingle over and over. One trip down the street per day is enough.

My husband and I were married on the beaches of Sandbridge and it was a wonderful experience. Hopefully many other couples will be able to experience that also.

Wow, this would be a real tragedy for many families who have found Sandbridge to be an affordable getaway for their families.
For many years, my family comes down to spend a week getting away from the usual hustle and busyness of the daily life grind. We spend the week reconnecting, showing the love of family, relaxing, enjoying nature and being mindful, as opposed to our minds being full of clutter.
In all the years that we have vacationed at Sandbridge, I have never encountered any of the large type venues that were not peaceful or unmanageable. The weddings and family reunion venues have always been a pleasure and tasteful.

I grew up in Chesapeake, VA and spent many days at Sandbridge as a child. As an adult, I moved away from the area as did my siblings. We have enjoyed having family gatherings at Sandbridge. Family members now in California, Kentucky and North Carolina as well as those who remain in Virginia come together. We enjoy the beach, patronize local restaurants and businesses. I urge you to continue to allow large family gatherings and special events in Sandbridge.

We had our wedding there last year. We were respectful of the community, but so thankful for such a charming and peaceful place to start our life together. I would love for many more people to enjoy the same in years to come!

Who in their right mind would try to end these celebratory events. I think the events are managed extremely well and provide a most amazing experience. The overwhelming majority of Sandbridge visitors respect and love the community. Please keep Sandbridge the magical destination spot it has ALWAYS been.

I recently had the best most beautiful wedding on Sandbridge. It will forever be the best day of mine and my husbands life. I can't imagine why others would want to take that away from others who can also have the best day of their life - rather its a wedding or another special event.

You allow weddings, those folks likely come back with their families- therefore...revenue for Sandbridge. No brainer. Don't kill the joy!!
