We have vacationed at this "domestic paradise" for more than 15 years and as our children have grown I have often mused about a Sandbridge destination wedding should our daughters be interested. I can't imagine this subset of vacationers being any more of a problem than any others. There is always a risk of a bad visitor but banning these types of rentals probably won't change that much.

Sandbridge is a special place, and it was a host to a special event...the engagement to my wife. Many families mark special occasions at Sandbridge and use rentals to accommodate with little disturbance to the community. This talk of regulation is excessive, and instead energy should be focused on how do we preserve and promote this unique destination in the Comminwealth of Virginia.

our family of 30+ started coming in 2003 and keep coming every year. we enjoy the setting and peacefulness of the Sandbridge area. This area is special because it doesn't have the commercial/carnival like feel that the boardwalk area has.

Trying to define and eliminate special events at homes in Sandbridge is impractical. How will "event" be defined? Also what will be the loss of revenue to local businesses, tax revenue to the City of Virginia Beach, funds for sand replenishment, and jobs be if an ordinance that events be? Has the city done an economic impact study to determine the impact?

My entire family has vacationed at Sandbridge for 10 years. It is the most special week of the year for us and something that become a cherished memory for our children. We have had beautiful family portraits, graduation pictures, and more on the picturesque beaches. We love Sandbridge, respect the owners of the rental homes, and wish to continue sharing in the beauty of the Sandbridge area.

I love Sandbridge. I celebrated my 60th birthday with 25 family and friends. We had a wonderful weekend and plan to come again. I agree it is a resort town where families come to celebrate milestones or just be together. Keep weddings and special events coming..they are beautiful to watch if only from a distance.

Keep the wedding and special events in sandbrige it's a beautiful vacation spot. I came 3 times I'll be there again for a vacation.
