Support existing restricted single sided parking ordinance in Saint Paul, MN.

Please keep parking restrictions to one side of the street for Fire safety and safe driving. With the addition of Red Cow and The Salt Cellar our neighborhood has become dangerous to walk in with everyone driving around looking for parking instead of pedestrians. I have had three close calls in the last two weeks! Please consider building a two story ramp behind La Grolla and do not allow any more restaurants at this end of Selby. Thank you.

i prefer parking as it is. I live at 436 Portland Abe and have never had trouble parking. If Mr Rupp finds trouble parking for his guests at the University clue he should never have bought and planned to open a hotel on Summit that will need even more parking on my residential block...

I favor issuing permits to park on the other side to residents who show hardship but not double-sided parking. i live on Holly Avenue.

Two-sided parking would make snow removal very difficult, as there is already not enough room for the excess snow. It would make parking almost impossible for guests of the local residents; it would make the neighborhood much more congested and noisy, and would greatly increase traffic in what is now a peaceful residential neighborhood.

The proposed parking ordinance change was proposed some ten years ago and found unacceptable. I testified against it and don't find any new argument that would reverse the earlier decision against the change. Commercial businesses wanting more parking in our neighborhood it not a compelling argument. The businesses need to find a solution within their commercial lots and commercial streets.

Where are those virtually empty parking lots? I'd like to have my guests park there.

Against two sided parking - terrible idea!!!

I live on the extraordinarily narrow Nina Street, where, should there be cars parked on both sides , would barely allow a car to dive in between. I am strongly against such a plan!

There are many commercial trucks driving on some of the residential streets. There seems to be little consideration for the residents in the neighborhood now and parking on both sides of the streets will only make the neighborhood more congested than it already is.

This was proposed 20 years ago and it was nixed at that time. We do not want our properties and residents endangered due to not being able to get emergency vehicles through due to congestion.

One sided parking feels both safer and more manageable for residents and guests than two-sided parking

Neighbors who live on affected streets need to give their input and their opinions should affect the outcome of this discussion. Gathering public input does not mean advertising quietly, listening politely if somebody shows up...and then doing it my way.

Keep parking on one side of street

Attention neighbors, Councilman Dai Thao's monthly neighborhood meeting is this Thursday, March 5th at 4:00PM at Sub Text books (lower level of Nina's coffee shop). Parking will be on the agenda. Let's show up and let him know that we want further study of double sided parking. We as residents need to be heard.

There needs to be an assessment of what this does to property values.
