This is a great idea that targets a great age group. There is nothing like this local to us and will be a great way to bring more people down the willows!

Keep the Willows open! Adding businesses will help. This isn't Bring your own Axe

Bit Bar has a great record as a responsible business in the community and this concept is well aligned with the unique family offerings at the Willows. I anticipate them being good neighbors and a positive driver of foot traffic. Given their patrons will be using axes and bows, the business would not cause themselves more problems/liability issues by overserving guests. Bit Bar also has a solid record on this front.

Bit Bar is a great establishment, and Salem would benefit from an axe throwing bar nearby!

Bit Bar has been a great business to the community of Salem. Their concept has blended family friendly environment well, while catering to the adult clientell in the evenings. . I forsee their organization doing well at the Willows and respecting the nostalgia that is the Willows. Hope this passes. Best of luck.

Bit Bar is a socially responsible, ever-evolving, community-oriented place that my family has visited regularly for years. Having a place like that in the willows would act as a draw for new people, and make novel use of space that currently rots abandoned.

The Salem Willows is in dire need of a revamp and I think this will help push it in the right direction. This has been a landmark location from my childhood that has held up poorly over the decades.

I support Axes & Bows’ request for a seasonal liquor license. I love Salem Willows location and frequently go running through the park or lay on dead horse beach, but the overall the place feels a little stale and behind the times. I feel that bringing a fun, modern, experiential business to Salem Willows will help stimulate the overall cash flow of the businesses there, and in turn, the infrastructure down there can be better improved and maintained all around, the end result being a park that has much more appeal to people who like to enjoy a beer or two responsibly while supporting a local small business.

Great opportunity for economic viability in one of the most underserved locations in the city. This proposal is within the underlying zoning and find it reasonable for the licensing board to grant approval
