I object to the building of a condo over the garage. That's clearly not a good use of the space. Valet parking would be a nightmare. I don't want valets racing around our private parking space. Let them valet on the street like everyone else does.

There are several children and elderly people who use the circle driveway for transportation. If valet parking is located there, there will be no access for the inhabitants to safely enter and exit the building. Proposing a building and a restaurant will block the available entrance and exits for the current inhabitants. The restaurant should consider valley parking on the lower levels (G2) where there is an elevator access near the river.

I believe the development of 403 Wabash will create extreme safety risks and congestion which will negatively compromise 405 Wabash. The best use of the property should acknowledge the small footprint of 403 Wabash and enhance the surrounding properties without detracting from them.

My wife and I strongly oppose the restaurant offering valet service using our circular driveway. The driveway is already crowded with parked cars coupled with residents and taxis picking up or dropping off passengers. We can't imagine how difficult it would be if a fire truck, ambulance or any other emergency vehicle had to gain entrance to the building with the addition of valet parking. And driveway traffic will no doubt increase upon the completion of 403 N. Wabash. I urge the board to continue talking with alderman Reilly and do everything possible to ensure valet parking does not become a reality. Finally, can the commercial part of our building simply grant permission for valet parking our does the city need to issue a permit? Are there any other factors involved in this process?

I am very concerned about the safety issues involved with the building over the garage. I also strongly believe that valet parking for the restaurant would make the driveway unsafe for pedestrians as well as much too congested for the temporary parking and short term parking for residents.

I strongly disagree with a building over the garage. Also valet parking at our front door is unacceptable.

I oppose both the construction of the 403 N. Wabash condo and Beacon Tavern's request to operate a valet service.

Residents and non-residents walk down the drive way. More traffic will only make this more dangerous.

I am concerned about having valet parking for the Beacon Tavern in our driveway, as too many people already abuse the no parking policy there and I can only imagine the issues if valet parking for another establishment is happening in that same space. Even though I do not like the idea of a property in the "air space" above the garage, as we do not own those rights, this is a harder thing to contest. However if the building of this impedes our driveway, this would also be another safety issue.

Worried about the safety and congestion that this building will bring. Especially emergency crew getting to our building and having sufficient room and access to fire and emergency crew.

The new 16 storey building will add traffic and congestion to an already busy area that is highly residential. The tavern should have considered the parking issue before deciding to open on that space. 405 No Wabash residents will have more risk when moving around the tavern due to the cars, which will have little or no place to park, as well as the drinking patrons who may not behave themselves.

1. The Beacon Tavern should provide info on Parking when customers call or inquire rather than provide a service which may or may not be used. Customers should be directed to the restaurant via outside entrance. If the volume of customer traffic is heavy, it will create a security problem with congestion & safety. 2. The building of a 16-story residence above the garage will create an additional residence & and traffic congestion that will be felt 24/7. Safety of the parking garage will need to be increased as to avoid access to River Plaza residence by outside persons trying to gain unlawful entry.

This will cause much more congestion and possibly be unsafe for both drivers and walkers.

I am totally opposed to both these projects, The restaurant could run their valet parking through the Trump Tower or The Wrigley building.

Valet parking would be very bad. They would fill up our driveway with cars waiting to be parked and that means you could not get in. Since the cars cannot be parked here what purpose does this serve. There is a parking lot directly across the street. The people should be going in the restaurant using the back entrance not coming through the lobby.

On a holiday weekend, even with a 15 minute time limit, our doorman had difficulty keeping the circle driveway clear in case of an emergency. The valet service cannot be approved .
