I really thought this might just float around in the digital void forever but now people are actually talking about the trash situation and it feels like the momentum is finally shifting. It is wild to see how many folks in Waikapu Gardens are tired of the current setup because suddenly this feels like a real possibility instead of just a dream.

Our family would love to benefit from our taxes and have trash pickup included in both Waikapu Gardens phases.
As resident taxpayers, we at Waikapu Gardens 1 & 2 are requesting consideration for county refuse service for our community. Consideration greatly appreciated, thank you.
Would appreciate it if you could add our neighborhood, Waikapu Gardens, to your refuse circuit.
Please provide us a service our taxes should be able to pay for like other Maui residents.
Refuse service provided by Maui County should be a standard service in our community. We pay taxes, too.
We would like to have recycling pick-up available to our neighborhood as well.
would this lower our HOA fees?

Weeks ago I sent a letter to Mayor Arakawa about this issue. I never received a reply or any acknowledgement.
