Support Quality Public Education through School Choice

Charter schools provide successful academic enviornments for special needs children who otherwise fail at main stream institutions. Parents need the option of other free academic options for their children to be able to grow into functioning adults.

I am a charter school teacher. Charter schools are an exact fit for students who don't fit into the box that most students fit into. Working at a charter school allows me to find creative ways to inspire students who think differently, and help them succeed academically.

Our charter school offers the ability for my daughter to attend Kindergarten three days a week and home learn two days a week. This has helped her transition into school with less anxiety. She has been able to be set up for academic and emotional success because of her Charter school. Please help her and the many other children that need their unique support that can be found in charter schools.

Charter schools are an important part of the education system in San Diego. They are flexible and vital to allowing children to learn at their own pace.

Parents need choices on the school setting that is best for them

One size does not fit all, whether it be traditional, charter, or private schools. School choice is vital for the continued success of our youth. I wonder where and why this anti-charter school sentiment is stemming from, maybe teacher unions, school boards, politicians? Do what's right for children and their families and vote NO against anti-charter legislation!!

Please support our charter schools. Charter school enable students to learn in environments that meet their needs. We have so many students that come to our school that have been unsuccessful in public schools and find a love for learning and success at our charter school. Please continue to support these students.

I support parental rights for school choice. Charters are just as important and the brick and mortar style of learning. With charters school this will allow my son an opportunity to get a diploma and not get housed in a room with little to no academic learning.

Shame on you, keeping those who need choices from being able to make them!

Charter schools are not the problem and are much needed. Kids are not all the same!

Dear SDUSD, Please do not take away our freedom of education. Traditional public schools do not meet the needs of every child, and there is a genuine need for other schools such as public charter schools where students can benefit from a different school environment. If you take away charter schools, you are hurting children like mine and many others with special needs.
