The handling of this appointment is disgraceful. How does our council get away with disregarding procedures and public input so they can elevate their own from within? This exemplifies corruption at its core.

Apparently nothing about this was technically illegal, but it stinks to high heaven. What other actions have the supervisors taken behind closed doors that the public knows nothing about? Time to vote the current supervisors out of office.

If you aren't doing anything wrong in the government, then three is no harm or fear in letting people see what you are doing.

Flaky to say the least. Perception is reality and the perception here is not good!

This action is reminiscent of the "good old boy network", of old, and must not be allowed to prevail, in this day and age!

How about we all just agree to do things in plain sight and no passing jobs to each other without public oversight. This isn't Russia.

If they aren’t doing anything wrong then they won’t mind the transparency at all - they should welcome it.

Secret, backroom deals, insider trading, and betrayal of the public trust define the enemies of our republic. This blatant corruption at Cochise County Board of Supervisors will be met with appropriate wrath from voters here.
