^I meant a “public process” was mandated by law.

All 3 Board Members engaged in criminal conspiracy and did in fact commit several felonies. A unlucky process was mandated by law. These supervisors intentionally violated the law, and intended to deprive the public of information and to operate in secret, because they knew what they were doing was both anti-democratic and illegal. I am waiting for the Cochise County Sherrif to arrest all 3. What kind of message does this serve to allow this kind of criminal public corruption to go unaccounted for?

Sierra Vista deserves transparency in our local politics. NOT A good ole boy appointing club.

Please be transparent. I know a couple attorneys that would have been great candidates for JP5

The due process of this appointment was not followed. Open meeting law was not followed. I do not agree with this appointment.

As someone in JP5 we deserve somone on the bench with a law back ground or at least a say in what is going on in our county and to know beforehand who is being appointed into an open seat on the bench. In this and all other things we need to have transparency a thing which we have significantly lacked for far too long in this county. It is time to change.

I feel this was a severe error in judgement. Any process that involves appointment to public office must involve input from the public or at least and opportunity to address the appointment.

To keep the public trust in the government, transparency and accountability must be at the forefront. No matter how well intentioned the most recent appointment was done without transparency, may have not been open or honest. Transparency in government is utmost a necessary for trust. Especially when there are no established procedures.
