I've worked with Nick as an aide when he was a 4th grade teacher. Nick really cares about the students he taught. Not only was he a great teacher, but he created a climate for success with out extracurricular basketball little dribblers program and our Cross Country Running program.

Nick Schollmeier is one of the precious few stalwarts of leadership and stability within DCSD. For him to be forced out by just another revolving-door administrator is appalling.

Nick was a model principal. The teachers that I know, who have worked within and outside of Alaska, have spoken of high morale, and an efficient, effective workplace and had never worked for a principal who was as supportive as Nick Schollmeier. This is a stark contrast to the middle/high school, whose former leadership is now a part of district administration. This shocking decision does not feel coincidental to this magnificently ill conceived circumstance. The loss of Mr. Schollmeier is a tragedy to students, families, staff, teachers and the community as a whole. The ripple effects will be felt for years to come. Whatever decisions were made to get here feel personal and not based on Nick's performance. Please reinstate Mr. Schollmeier now and not continue down this unjust path.

I firmly believe that Nick's termination is the result of catering to mob rule over the genuine safety of the children in our school this is a dangerous and creates an unhealthy environment for our schools students and staff

Mr. Schollmier is a valuable asset to this community. I have never heard of a single bad comment about him. Only good. He is my neighbor and strongly feel there should be clear reason for firing him. I question the motives and the longevity of those persons that wanted him fired with out giving a good reason. It would be a real shame to loose him.

Thank you for so concisely capturing the points I held, and other important factors as reasons he should have been retained and should certainly be reinstated.

As a parent of a former student. When brought to my attention of a teacher harassing my child, there were no repercussions to the teacher and I brought in the complaint. Instead they filed a complaint to OCS in order to side track my complaint. In order to protect my child I removed him from this school. I decline this reinstatement and I hope the school board sees this. The community should know there were plenty of public complaints (DTP) on similar issues and should not have a blind eye to this.

Termination without reason is unreasonable and crual, impacting negatively the lives of not only his family but those he has faithfully, effectively and positively served for 8 years! Nick's record of accomplishments speak for him. He, his family, the students and staff, and the community deserve this action to be justified our reversed!
