I know Nick cares about his teachers. He came and made sure an apartment one of his teachers was ready for when she arrived. He was making great strides in the education of the elementary students amongst the pandemic. I hope that you would reconsider and rehire him as the principal of Dillingham Elementary.

I ate lunch with my boys as often as I could during their 6 yrs at Dillingham Elementary usually 3-5 days a week. Without exception Nick Schollmeier was working alongside his staff serving lunch, mopping floors and anything else that needed to be done. He was also very interactive with the students and it was obvious he had a great rapport with the them and staff alike . He is exactly the type of school administrator we should be trying to retain at all costs. I ask the DCSD board to please survey district wide staff as to his effectiveness and ask themselves if his dismissal is really in the best interest of the children of Dillingham. It is not.

To the DCSD School Board: Please have the courage to reverse this odious decision and reinstate Principal Schollmeier. There are zero substantive reasons for his dimissal. He is committed to our community and school, and his positive accomplishments and exemplary leadership should continue to lead our elementary school for years to come.
