I definitely think something has to be done. I love the idea of an entrance fee and littering fine. It is beautiful at the lake but slowly it is turning ugly.

I'm tired of our lake becoming infested by out of state people who have left garbage and have our fishing spots gated because the swim where ever they want!!!!

The situation was bad, got worse and will just deteriorate further when no steps are taken.

I live here in franklin township and walk my dog at Beltzville daily. Now I have to be careful what kind of trash my dog is stepping when we walk! It’s a shame

Dcnr needs to reconsider there manager and rangers. There is total disregard for the lake and wildlife. I would like to know when a water quality test was done this year after july 4 2020. I cant seem to find one

My biggest concern is the obvious health concern related to 8400 people coming from New York and New Jersey during the pandemic. 2 of the worst hit states in the country continue to come to our small town with complete disregard for social distancing. Once this is addressed then I think PA needs to seriously consider charging fees for out of state visitors like many other surrounding states. You can’t rely on volunteers when the locals can’t even enjoy using it.

We need to have more patrols here.. and when the three lots are full they should stop people from coming in.. Not one car should go to the over flow lot..... close the gates to walkers also... check coolers for booze.. close the boat launch lot to only vehicles with watercraft no one else allow to park there... The lot accross from the boat launch should be patroled since it is for fishing and hiking.. any coolers. grills. tents viewed the people should be told to pack it up and if they insist ticket them ... ticket and tow all vehicles parked along all roads.... extra boat patrols to cite and ticket people swimming all along the shores and picnicking along the shores... If they want to flaunt the laws make them pay for it , soon the word will get out

If government, will not close the lake to out-o-state people, then must protect the PA tax payer. This means more patrols, enforcement of the rules., issuing citation, drug/alcohol check points, not allowing walk-ins once the park is closed at 75% capacity, multiple boats to patrol the waters , etc.

We need serious attention brought to the mismanagement of the State Park. Admission fees, cooler and bag check points for alcohol, more personal walking around and shutting down pull off areas that do not get patrolled allowing countless laws being broken throughout our state park. Multiple Rangers from DCNR say its their protocol to have a hands off approach and not write out citations. This is no way to be a deterrent and protect our park. Its unacceptable.

The people coming from out of state are ignoring the extra signs & extra trash bags. They are discarding used tampons & diapers right in the lake! A major health violation. There is no social distancing, no regard for the property or the other people who go to the lake. Illegal parking, alcohol, drugs, firearms, fireworks. This is how they live & they are bringing it into our state parks. Whomever makes the decisions needs to spend a weekend there undercover as a tourist. Your eyes will be opened! Please close it to out of state until at least COVID is past. Then all staye parks should charge admission for out of state. That is what most states, and all surrounding states do. Why do you think they come to ours? Because they are free AND they can do anything they want and get away with it! Please reconsider your recent decision to disregard and turn a blind eye to what is happening
