Peters Township's schools and teachers are one of the communities best assets. Supporting the teachers gives our children a bright future.

What we need to remember is that these men and women are taking care of our children. This township spends a lot of money on athletic facilities. A majority of the people living here are upper middle class, and don't spare any expense when building their stately homes, or purchasing their overly expensive SUVs or foreign cars. People take expensive vacations with their unappreciative school age children during the school year despite rules that advise against it. My point is....WHY WOULD WE WANT UNDERPAID TEACHER PROVIDING EDUCATION FOR OUR KIDS?? Come on residents of PT, use your heads. Give these teachers what they deserve, what they've earned, and what they're worth. They are after all, spending the majority of the day with your spoiled, unappreciative, rotten kids. You have my permission to share this comment. In fact, I prefer you do!! Sandy Connors Venetia Pa

Teachers dedicate their lives to their students. Their compensation should reflect that dedication. Stay strong!!!

As a former PTSD employee, the teachers are the ones who work with the students. They teachers need a fair contract. Maybe the administrators should forgo their raises.

The smear campaign against public employees in general, and teachers specifically, needs to stop. Working people must unite to fight against the corporate model that has been placed on public services workers.

Give the teachers what they deserve. Fair compensation, reasonable work expectations (especially with class sizes), affordable healthcare. They want to go back to work!

I support the teachers in their quest for a fair settlement. They help mold the future citizens of our country and we need them desperately. The district needs to come to a fair agreement with the teachers so the children can get back to learning again. They haven't even attempted to negotiate with the teachers.

Stand strong, Peters teachers. I value the work you do. My four children have all greatly benefited from working with you. You deserve a raise that demonstrates your continuing value to the community. The board is unreasonable in their expectations for increases in premium contributions on healthcare. If the board and the Superintendent truly wanted this settled, they would bring reasonable solutions to the table. Instead, they depend on winning the "spin" battle in the media. The teachers bring value to the community. My home would not be worth what it is without a strong school district, with committed teachers.
