The PT teachers have my support. It is unconscionable that the Board and Administration think $500/$200 is a sufficient raise for a group of dedicated educators who provide our kids with a strong foundation and have helped position them for a bright future. PT test scores are #1 in the state. The offer from the decision makers should be proportional and respectful of the value that these educators bring to our schools!

countless hours are spent at night and on weekends that teachers are not given credit for. I know how much time and dedication you put into your job. Thank you.

To anyone who thinks a teacher's job is easy and we are overpaid, I dare you to walk a day in our shoes. Many would quit after the first day when they are enlightened to the realization of what we do outside of the classroom to be able to inspire within the classroom. Stay strong Peters teachers! I support you!

I support our PT Teachers, as all of our community does. Most of them work hard, as much of our community does.
They deserve fair and equitable pay, as they already get. I do not support them striking instead of accepting binding arbitration and holding our community hostage. I do not support their outrageous healthcare demands. If this strike is really about class size than advise Paul Homer to drop all of the demands about salary and benefits and focus on what really matters to you most.

Stand strong for what is just and right and know that there are fellow educators supporting you and wishing you the best. We deserve more for ALL that we are required and expected to do in this day and age.

Our teachers are phenomenal and deserve to be treated with respect, like the professionals they are. A fair contract should be provided to them.

Teachers work harder than anyone I know. My kid is a teacher. Maybe your kid will want to be a teacher some day. Remember how you treat teachers, because that is how someone will be treating your child someday.

Our union is supporting all of you teachers during this difficult time. Everyone deserves a fair contract, and can't be the only group willing to make concessions. Good luck, and we are thinking about you all.

I am very disappointed in many of my friends and neighbors in this community....comments such as "I don't make that much money," ......"They should see what I pay for healthcare,"....."How hard is it to babysit kids all day,".....and "teachers are just people who couldn't handle a REAL degree!" Meanwhile these same people love to brag about how advanced their children are and how successful their future will be.....so, what role have the Peters Township teachers taken in these successes? A teacher's job is so much more than the general public realizes. Teachers have to be daily role models, people who inspire, and encourage striving for greatness. People who get children to believe in themselves and reach their fullest potential. A teacher listens...... to a young boy talk on and on about mindcraft, a teenage girl explaining how her mom won't let her wear what she wants, a kindergartner who gives a detailed explanation about her weekend trip to the zoo, or a high school junior deciding what the step of their life will be. A teacher spends their own money on school supplies, clothes, and even snacks for kids that can't afford it. A teacher sits next to and gives extra love to a child that gets made fun of for being dirty. A teacher will be mom or dad if the need is there. A teacher even thanks the parents for their support, even when they do not get it. Finally, a teacher never gives up....teachers are gifts and we should appreciate their amazing talents! Thank you all!

I am a paraprofessional working for PTSD. I'm not being paid during the work stoppage. As frustrating and difficult as these past few weeks have been, I believe our teachers deserve a fair contract. They are worth it! Believe me, I see it every day on the job.

As a fellow teacher, and one that works in a right to work state, I support you! May people realize that in order to keep the good teachers, you need to pay for them.
Stay strong
