He's the best thing that has happened to Hallsville! He's been a catalyst for building trust and communication within the community. I have lived in Hallsville for 20 yrs and he is the first person to unite the community instead of divide it. Adults and Children trust and like him. Don't ruin a good thing!

Great Police Chief who is caring and keeps everyone informed and involved. More Political Departments should function like Paul Montoya runs his office. Wonderful PR for everyone in East Texas to know what's going on in Hallsville and be envious of the great things happening, the unity and communication!! Any city would be lucky to have him!!

Don't know him I live in Harrison County and have family in Hallsville I've heard nothing but good things about him

This is CRAZY! There are SO MANY HORRIFIC ISSUES out there and a traffic issue is causing all this! And to a great hearted, wonderful to the community kinda guy!!

He has been the absolute best police chief Hallsville has ever had. Until the last few weeks i hadn't ever seen the Mayor, and didnt even know who he was. Paul needs to reinstated and left alone to do his job that he is very qualified for. This man has done more for this community in a year, than all the city council has done combined. How about the H.I.S.D doing there jobs and getting all the dope out of the school. Thats what they need to be concerned

Chief Montoya has been a positive and influential leader for that community. As a fellow law enforcement officer he is a leader and a motivator. This community is suffering a great loss without him in office. I really hope this changes but the damage may already be done.

Chief Montoya is the reason why Hallsville is the greatest and most safe place to live. I was in a car accident involving my sedan and the back end of a dodge duelly, that entire incident chief Montoya had his puppies out comforting my 12 yr old son which has special needs. This man is stands for our people and if he decides to run for mayor or city council, he's got my vote.

the best Chief we have had, and the people could not be heard. this is the only person to talk to me in the city and I have lived here fro 20 years. I have ask to see the Mayor, past Mayors and no response yet. put him back on the job and give him a raise.

Paul is the Heart of this community he puts the community above his self and we should do the same for him.

The real problem is HISD police are not doing their jobs!! You never see them at events like Hallsville PD. They are irrgornant to the laws - for an example the 2016 prom event that got sweep under the rug!! Really they had no right, they had no search warrant and bottom line is they are not current on the knowledge of their job. The only separation that should happen is the separation of HISD police as they are inadequate and a joke. How about we in Hallsville do what most other schools do and contract actual police officers that are current in their skills and are more capable to protect our kids.. If HISD removed their police department and contracted REAL police officers the pissing match would stop. The solution seems real simple but getting rid of Montoya will not solve the real issue at hand. Several of the HISD police officers were separated years ago during the shake up and have always hated Hallsville PD since. Put your big boy pants on cop wanna be's (HISD police) and deal with or try getting off your ass and really taking a part in our kids lives at school instead of gluing your asses to the chair!! If you all were busy doing your JOB you wouldn't have time for this BS!! I vote to get rid of HISD police and keep Montoya!!!

I think Officer Paul Montoya should be reinstated his job plus a couple 1000 dollars to his paycheck each payday.. The way Eitelman had handled this situation was very unconstitutional in my opinion. Keep your head up and Have Faith the Lord Jesus will see to it that you make it out on top with his love and help and blessings. God Bless you and your family Officer Paul Montoya.
