I support Chief Montoya. The new school supper,not so much. Plus the school district builds schools without regard to traffic in the city, and the county not any help with the road situation.

I know there may be more behind what social media and Internet states, but as long as I've know chief Montoya he has been nothing but respectful and a great leader for our community, and he has went over and beyond to bring the community together. I understand people may have mistakes but come on we're humans. OUR chief is a great guy. Keep him in office.

I have seen the document going around that was obtained from City of Longview PD open records, and was shocked but not surprised. If you are supporting him, you are supporting a person with a lengthy history of serious misconduct (acknowledged by him). Multiple complaints involving inappropriate behavior/contact with females, some being minors. Is it too much to ask to have a legitimate police chief with professional and personal history, morals and credibility beyond reproach? I encourage you to look into the facts before signing your name.

Chief Montoya has done more to unify the community and foster a feeling of family than anyone else has ever done. Hallsville is lucky to have him. Keep Chief Montoya.
