Support Paul Montoya's Continued Employment as our Police Chief

This is a shame. I'm originally from Dallas and moved to East Tx 3 years ago. I have a 5yr old daughter who recently became a Hallsville Bobcat this fall. I moved us to Hallsville last year because I heard from multiple people that Hallsville was a great school district. That they were a community who were proud, prideful and took care of one another. I wanted that for my daughter. The #1 thing I heard was that Montoya had alot to do with this. He had genuine concern for each and every student in the Hallsville district. He was what Hallsville embodied. He was active in the community. Volunteered for fundraisers and events. Brought the community together and was a positive influence daily. I personally witnessed him interacting with the community in such a personal way that it made me proud to be apart of Hallsville. To let a man go who gave so much to the community in more ways than one is a disappointment and upsetting. I really hope that the council reconsiders their choice. Thank you sincerely a concerned citizen

Paul is a wonderful man who has nothing but the people of Hallsville's best interest at heart. It will be a HUGE injustice for force him to resign or be fired!!!

Mr. Montoya is the best thing to happen to hallsville. He goes above and beyond the call of duty. I have had him personally check on me in the middle of tornado warnings because I was scared. He is a huge supporter of all of his hallsville people. It would be a tragedy of he was no longer police chief.

Paul has done so many wonderful things for this community, it would be a shame to lose someone who cares so much.

Paul is the best thing that has happened to our community! It would be a complete shame to lose him here in Hallsville.

I have lived in Hallsville all my life and my mom has to..I never thought much of any of the police departments until Montoya became police chief..It's amazing how he has brought the community together and has shown the kids and teenagers that the police is not mean and they can come to them for help.. All I know from reading everyone post and support the community can't be wrong..

Let him stay! He's the best I've seen yet when it comes to protecting and serving our community

Chief Montoya has brought the Hallsville community together like no one I have ever seen. I have lived here for 23 years. He has immersed himself in our community, he has facilitated pride in our town and our schools, and he has inspired so many others to invest in the lives of their neighbors. Hallsville is a better place because of Chief Montoya.

Don't know him personally but from what I've seen over the last few years, he has brought our community together for the better! #wearehallsville

This has been 10x the community it ever has been because of this man! He leaves, it will go to crap... AGAIN

I am so very disappointed in my current city governing body. It is obvious that I have been in error by voting for a number of these 'representatives', this is an error I plan to rectify as soon as possible.

This seems totally unfair!

I don't live in Hallsville but I have never been more proud of a police officer that continually goes beyond the call of duty, time and time again. This is shameful.

We finally have a chief that is for the community, who goes above and beyond and you want to get rid of him. It's upsetting that this is taking place.

I don't live in Hallsville but my grandkids go to school there and I must say I feel that they are much safer with Paul being the police chief. I knew Paul before he came to Hallaville. I told him when he got the position that there will be people that will turn on you and cause you a problem. I guess I was right. This incident with the traffic flow at school is rediculous. He did what he had to do. If the school officers want to be in control of the road and traffic then they should be out giving tickets and working wrecks. This is unbelievable to do this at a closed meeting without the public. A friend told me just yesterday how Paul at lunch with her son several times because he knew he was being bullied at school for being a cheerleader. Hallsville City Councel you have made a big mistake.

It's sad that a bunch of flunky ISD cops who got canned from Hallseville PD and a school board can get a great Police chief fired because they are cry babies. Hallseville needs to out the Mayor next ellection of he doesn't fix this

This is outrageous and ridiculous. Chief Montoya is an awesome Police Chief, citizen and person. He's done more for this community than most Police Chief's in the US. Reverse this decision... It's the only right thing to do for our community.

Paul Montoya is the BEST thing that has happened to Hallsville. Removing him is no way doing what is best for Hallsville. #wearehallsville #wewantmontoya
