Support Paul Montoya's Continued Employment as our Police Chief

I am a parent of an East Elem student and was waiting in that pick up line the first day of school. Traffic was absolutely insane and at a stand still until he arrived. I'm grateful for him and all he does for our community.

Paul has done many good things for the Hallsville Community

Hallsville is crazy if they let this man go!! We will take him down South proudly!!

He is an amazing person and this is ridiculous.

I have never seen a police officer more involved in the community. Every time I have ever interacted with Chief Montoya or witnessed him interacting with others, I have seen professional behavior and much kindness - even when he had to write a ticket for me, he still treated me with courtesy and respect. I do not feel that the city council has truly represented the citizens who voted for them in asking for Chief Montoya's resignation after a closed-door session, which was supposedly to discuss one complaint. If they truly did represent the best interest of the citizens of our community, then they need to be much more transparent about their actions.

He's doing a great job, I don't understand why you're trying to throw him under the bus.

He is the best Police Chief we have ever had, in my opinion, and Hallsville is crazy if they get rid of him.

Chief Montoya is an asset to the community and is being treated unjust. Please reconsider the Council actions.

He goes beyond the limits and helps people in neighboring communities. This is a tragedy.

Unless more comes to light then Chief Montoya should remain our Chief. He has done more for our community than any of our city leaders. We have wonderful schools but there are a lot of things that happen in them that are kept quiet about, when we should be kept informed about this stuff. There is way to much secrecy going on in the city of Hallsville. Who will make it stop???????????

I have known Paul for many years. I stand behind him 100%.

Keep the Chief!! Is it a race thing? Because he is Hispanic and you dont think he should be doing this good? Shame on you council and Superintendent!!! Just because he won't do what you tell him and he goes by the book. YOU WERE LUCKY to have him as Chief!

Cheif Montoya is by far the light in my heart when it comes to officers. He not only helps the Hallsville community he helps everyone he can. He has not only taken and making Hallsville a better town, but he has helped make so many peopel's lives better. Who would not want someone protecting and serving their city that puts themselves last and everyone else before. No one is perfect by any means, but when someone is doing all they can and making dramatic improvement why let them go? He is much more than just a Cheif..he is a leader, a protector, motivator, brother, teacher, cheerleader (in all sense of the word), The fact the citizens of the town have started such a big petition to help get him back should prove enough about the impact he has made on all of their lives. Leave with this: Some peope only hate you because of the way other people love you.. We all have your back Paul <3
