I have lived here in Hallsville for about a month now and have nothing to give but praise for Chief Montoya. I mean if you love your city enough to not only be a police officer, but be a firefighter and an EMT as well, I think you deserve the position you're given.

I have lived in Hallsville now for just a month. And in that short amount of time, I have experienced the amount of generosity and kindness Paul Montoya has for his community. Not once have I heard anything about our mayor or any of the councilmen up until now. WE are Hallsville. All of us. And this community needs to protect one of it's most valuable members. We support you, Paul Montoya.

Mr. Montoya has always been very helpful and friendly. We just moved to the area two years ago, and he has made us feel very safe and welcome. I thought it was amazing the relationship the police in Hallsville have with the community!

HISD jurisdiction should end at the ISD property line. I have lived in Hallsville all my life and HISD has ALWAYS tried to run the town. No one at HISD admin can be trusted - It is a shame when the citizens of this town have to plan there day around the horrible traffic gridlock. 10a- 2p about the only time a person can come & go. As far as Eitleman goes - don't like him trying to make Hallsville a Longview. He is a progressive liberal - empeach Eitleman for a true Hallsvilleite!

I've had the pleasure of working in Hallsville the last 7 months and interacting with Chief Montoya. Firing or "letting go" of him is not in the best interests of Hallsville. Maybe HISD police should stick with their jurisdiction on campus and understand their role. Firing a man who loves this community over hurt feelings and words is absolutely ludicrous. Y'all are grown ass men, not whiny college students in need of a safe place. Start acting like it. The move that day needed to be done.
