Our friend Patton was physically and mentally abused by his ex-girlfriend, who forced him to resume their relationship after he broke up with her. Over several conflicts, she assaulted him multiple times and he never fought back. Only on one occasion did he resist in an attempt to restrain her, and she called ECPD on him. As a result, he was put in lock-up and wrongly expelled from school.
Emerson College failed to conduct a proper and thorough investigation. They did not contact witnesses, nor did they consider Patton's counter-claim when he tried to file it with ECPD. They kicked him out of his housing on campus, and did not provide any residential accommodations despite having it in writing in their policies. As an international student it can be even harder to source accommodation, and the school failed to take this into account as well.
Our petition will be sent to the administration responsible.
If you know Patton, you know he could never hurt another person. Please add your name to let Emerson College know how they have failed in their duty to protect their students, and that they should rescind their expulsion of Patton. If you don't know my friend, then consider adding your name for the sake of proper safety and due process in our school. There cannot be a conducive environment on campus when the administration is not doing their job right.

He is one of the nicest and sweetest guy I know, he can never do something like this.
Patton is one of the nicest person I know and I could never ever imagine him hurting anyone. I believe that the investigation is biased and there is misunderstanding going on. I think that gender equality means that males and females should be treated in the same way and fairly. As a female, I definitely think that our feelings matter and it is important that we feel safe on this campus, but at the same time, I also hope everybody could treat male the way we want to be treated. When accident happens, we shouldn't blame males with our ears and eyes closed. Fact speaks and I trust Patton

This dude is so passionate and always asks so many questions on the sound stage. He's a valuable addition to Emerson College and the school would be wise to keep him in the community. I played a lot of basketball with Patton before he started working on the Stage. Those pick up games can get really heated but I never saw Patton get involved in that kinda stuff. I never saw him act aggressively or mistreat anyone. This is a really good guy.
