My baby was 3 weeks old when we went in to lockdown, finally being able to attend baby classes supported me in the early stages of post natal depression and gave me a life line to watch my baby meet milestones and development achievements, for me this is where early years starts

Babies need interaction to learn social skills. They need the classes to develop through the stages as they should and I am terrified that stopping all classes and changing his entire routine could really throw everything out for him. I worry how my mental health will be affected and in turn affect him also.

These classes are so important, not only for our babies but for parental support and wellbeing.

Allow these baby educational clubs to open during lockdown. They are life line for many new parents who would otherwise be isolated and alone.

I love going to baby classes and my son gets so much out of looking at other babies and adults. I fear he is going to miss out on meaningful experiences that will support his development. There is only so much I can do on my own. I also enjoy chatting to other parents about our children.

Baby classes have been a godsend for me being a new first time mum, support from the HV and most midwives was not good and classes have been the thing to look forward to, to get support and advice and see my new friends. My partner works away for 10 weeks at a time and now I have nothing to look forward to for the next 4 weeks (or more!) They are all socially distanced and we have to wear masks to the mat and everything is sanitised anyway...

Please consider baby classes being open for babies ages 0-3 years old. They are missing out on so much and all us new mums feels so lonely and are struggling to entertain a toddler being stuck indoors with them

Baby groups really helped me when I had Post-Natal Depression and continue to support me in raising my youngest. They are very much needed!

Mental health matters especially when there is a mum and young baby. It's hard enough without these additional pressures

I’m a new mum of 2020 baby born in March! These classes are essential to both mine and my baby’s well being!! They need to remain open with support

I find these classes so important for my mental health as a first time mum of a 6 months old. They play such an important role in babies development. I feel safe in these classes, the class leader puts in so much work to ensure everything is clean, we are always 2m+ apart and all wear masks throughout. No items are shared as we all get individual sanitised boxes of props for each class. It's safer than going to a supermarket.

Babies are missing out in vital classes
The classes are covid safe and shouldn’t have to be stopped. Mams are missing vital support within these classes
