Baby classes are invaluable for the parent and the baby. There is so little help available to us due to covid, all the normal services have been stopped or massively reduced (including extended families!) This is one space we have and it will be awful to lose it again.

Baby classes are invaluable for support for mothers and for the healthy development of babies social skills and other skills. Not allowing them to continue through lock down is depriving mothers, including myself, of vital support for our mental health and wellbeing.

Whilst we all appreciate the seriousness of Coronavirus this needs to be balanced with the support needs for young mums who currently have limited other means of social support and guidance. Given the high level of safeguards in place this activity should be allowed to continue.

They are our babies education and exercise. Why are the educational needs of every other age group of child considered and not babies?

These classes are not just for babies but for mummies too. They provide guidance on how to help baby explore the world around them whilst also following the EYFS. They must stay open!n

Please rethink this! We need our classes to continue, they are a lifeline for us and our babies. They have suffered so much already, please don't take them away again.

Unless you are a mum in lockdown, you don’t know how it feels to be isolated away from these vital classes. Sit at home with a crying baby, away from friends and family and you will soon learn the need. Government, you really don’t understand how it feels to read that a garden centre can be open yet a new mums ‘lifeline’ for a week isn’t allowed. Get some sense and allow.

This was a lifeline for me and my baby as he was my first. Helped me with development activities, confidence and self esteem

I have a 4 month old son, going through labour alone until my husband was allowed in was bad enough, and now it’s even harder struggling to keep my son occupied day to day.. without these classes new mums like me find it hard and sometimes mentally draining and isolated.. please let us continue to give our babies a little bit of education and play throughout this lockdown..

Classes such as these are much needed, for both babies and parents

This is a massive blow for my 9 month old.....no support since she was born, this was a lifeline for social interaction for her.....she hated other people and was finally coming out of her shell and started to social smile. This is a blow!!

As someone who suffered under the original lockdown restrictions I feel very strongly about support for mums with newborns! A great cause. Good luck Victoria!

I have a 6 month old baby, already born under lockdown restrictions and going to sensory class has been vital in supporting my mental health. Creating a routine and some structure whilst ensuring we get out of the house. It gives the opportunity for support from other new mums, which while limited is so important.
