Thank you for your continued help with this bill. We are a smaller post in our area, and find this to be detrimental to our existence.

The additional surcharge puts a tremendous burden on small post who really do a lot for their communities. Seems like when us little people have positive programs, big government swoops in and gobbles up their money to be used in wasteful and good ole boy spending practices. Just sayin.

The surcharge on Legion posts is absurd and should be waived so post can contribute greatly towards their communities.

Please, please do not enforce this surcharge on our American Legions’. It is already difficult enough to manage our Legions without adding a surcharge.

We fully support Rep Knowles bill. Act 39 has hurt us (American Legion Post #292) for the past two years.

Placing an additional charge on American Legion Posts in PA is not the way to increase the Pennsylvania budget. You should be ashamed of yourselves for trying to misuse Veteran Organizations to benefit your failing budgets.

Thank you Rep. Knowles for your leadership and support for reducing the outrageous fee for liquor licenses for VSO'S and fire companies which is a financial hardship for us all.

I heartily support HB 1901!

I support HB 1901 which would do away with the $700 surcharge on VSOs and Volunteer Fire Companies. This surcharge causes a financial hardship on these worthy organizations.

This surcharge has really put a strain on our Post (Post 547).

As a member of the American Legion I know how hard our post works to support our community and this fee would only take more money from our programs.

ACT 39, signed into law in June 2016 by Governor Wolf imposed a liquor license surcharge that had a negative impact upon the financial stability of our Posts. I am personally asking Senator / Representative Anthony Williams Dist 8________ to support HB 1901 so that the American Legion here in Pennsylvania can continue our mission. HB 1901 will allow a waiver of the surcharge for our Posts

This law needs to be rescinded to prevent or small Veteran Service Organizations from having to be closed. Our small Posts struggle daily to meet the financial demands of keeping the Post open to serve our Veteran needs and to be active in their communities. If this law is not rescinded many of them will be forced to close. Please Support!
