This is the Center of town, and needs to be a living community centre. The future is going to need to be about Community - not selling stuff off like we are jetasoning stuff off a lift-boat!

SDC leaving me speechless. Think it's about time people knew what goes on at this club in Ebley?

I have been to many functions at the Sub Rooms and if this imposing building does not continue to be owned by the people of Stroud it will be a big loss.

We the undersigned call upon our district councillors to do everything in their power to keep Stroud's Subscription Rooms as the vibrant, publicly-owned community venue it is, and to work with the community to secure its future.

I'm an out of town-er. No, out of county-er. I come to the area regularly however and often use and buy for/from the venue. Not everything is to my taste but it remains an important feature of the Stroud I enjoy visiting.

Why not introduce a new subscription scheme for the Subs Rooms (the clue is in the name) so that those of us who value them can contribute to keeping them open?

Please keep the Sub Rooms in public ownership. It's a fantastic and diverse venue and attracts a great variety of entertainment. It's an important cultural landmark for Stroud - please keep it that way.

Paid for by the subscriptions of the men (it was men in those days!) of Stroud. It needs to stay in public hands to honour their legacy and to make sure it stays open for the people of Stroud to use.

This facility has a very big role in community building. It is a centre where anybody new to Stroud will run to for information and it is a land mark for a small town Stroud. It is a same that there is even such a thought of selling it. In my view it should stay to public use.

The clue is in the name, it is owned by the people of Stroud and should not be sold. Work on increasing revenue instead.
