The Subrooms were built and paid for by subscription by local people. They should not be sold off to commercial or private interests.

The Subrooms is a beautiful landmark building in our town centre. It belongs to the people of Stroud and provides an unrivalled space for a wide range of entertainment, not matched by any other public space in town. We must try everything to preserve the many functions of this iconic building for the people of Stroud.

The sub rooms is the heart and soul of Stroud! It would be incredibly short sighted to sell it off.

This is a beautiful building being the centre piece of Stroud which the Five Valleys & surrounding district can ill afford to lose. So much history to this wonderful building.

Please listen to the people of Stroud. We will never forgive the District Council if adversely affects our Sub Rooms. Stand up to misplaced austerity & defy it.

The Subs is part of the heart of Stroud. The variety of events held and the different groups that use the venue says everything about the need to keep this as a publicly owned asset.

The Subscription Rooms should be retained by the Council. I didn't know there was a cafe there, so perhaps more publicity would help.

Yet another concert hall is in danger! We and others have used the venue for many years, traveling 20+ miles to do so. A real asset to Stroud and a much wider area. Always a good atmosphere, attracting a wide variety of well known artists. It should be kept in public hands, as was intended.

The underhand way that this has been handled is distasteful if not entirely surprising. Shame on the council.

It's just too good a resource to lose.
It must be saved . . it's Stroud's hub.
