The Stroud Sub rooms are an icon. It's such a big part of the rich heritage and history of a great town. It has been the centre of so many memories for young and old and should continue to be so for many years to come. Change is not always for the best so why not cherish this beautiful place and keep it for the future.

This is the biggest arts venue in the local area and will really destroy the wealth of culture we have in our town if it is sold.

Been to gigs here 3 times in the last 3 months and going again tonight. Also to Mr Twitchets, which could do with a makeover, but great little cafe.

The Subscription rooms in stoud is an attractive building and an incredible venue for arts & entertainment as well as operationg as an important function for the local community - keep it public!

Such a useful venue - I've played classical & wind band gigs there, folk gigs, danced there, seen ballet, been to workshops and attend rehearsals once a week. Nowhere else in the district comes close to it for flexibility,
Friendly staff, too.

This is a fantastic venue. I've really enjoyed calling for the dances there - to a full hall of dancers having a wonderful time. Please don't sell it!

The 'Subs' were created as a monument to the town and its people, and as subscription-founded were always meant to be owned by the people. It would be short-sighted to dispose of the town's great asset for short term gain, as in the longer term it would be no gain for the town. This magnificanet building MUST remain in public ownership, and must never be sold off!

The Subscription Rooms were paid for by the people of Stroud, as an entertainment venue. Please can we keep them this way, but also involve schools and colleges and community groups, so that they can be used more widely and wisely?

I live in Wales, love Stroud and with family and friends there, I often visit the Sub when I am in town for the great shows and community spirit.
