It would be an absolute tragedy of Stroud was to lose this historic venue!!!!

The Subscription Rooms is a really special place and I am quite sure that you know that. Its splendid ballroom is an utter joy to dance in and it would be a terrible shame if this was lost. Organisations like Stroud Ceilidhs book some excellent and high profile bands. Are you aware of visitors that come to Stroud because your wonderful venue, bringing revenue with them?

The sub rooms are a critical community asset; SDC need to find a more creative way of keeping this key facility available and used optimally in a financially sustainable way.

I no longer live in Stroud but it's so clear that the Subs is such a wonderful public resource and venue. It would be downright stupid to let this fabulous community hub go.

I've watch many a good band play in the subs over many years.
Only Stroud council could make this venue run at a loss.

As a Stroud expat, I read with increasing alarm of the shenanigans going on about the Sub rooms, which meant so much to us during our long sojourn in Stroud. Keep it open, keep it public!
