To many music venues are being shut down, this is a great venue and of more benefit to Stroud than another office block.

Stop selling art and entertainment venues that support equality and diversity within the community. It belongs to the community and not to a capitalist for the purpose of holding their own inclusive events. If I find out that my great, great grandfather subscribed to the building funds of this building in 1835, I will be down to claim my bit and give back to the people of Stroud.

Just keep the Subs going. It is vital to Stroud's arty identity. Stops us going to Bristol and spending our cash there. Put my Council tax up to fund if you must...

The Sub Rooms is central to Stroud life. We cannot loose it. We need to find a way to keep it going - all of us.

The value of the Sub Rooms goes far beyond its info centre, art gallery, loos, concerts and events - its the soul of the town centre, immutable, a gathering point. Just because the Govt is mean is no reason to take a suicidal decision. Can public subscription once again be invoked to help?

We need our centre town venue, the Sub Rooms, to stay publicly owned because that is what it was built for!

I am sure Stroud can work out a way to make this iconic building The Subscriptions Rooms into a publicly- owned community venue and secure it's future.

Such an important local facility, it must be kept in public hands.

It is crucial for current and future Stroud community that this wonderful venue be kept and maintained. Not to do so would show callous disregard for the things that really matter in keeping a vibrant community.

I think there should be a resubscription for the sub rooms to create an endowment to secure its future.

It's an important resource we are lucky to have. Paid for by the people of Stroud who recognised the benefits. Hence the name.
Keep it for the community
