No 10 bins outside my house

Not only is it unhygienic two have a collection every two weeks, most properties lack the space to store two weeks of rubbish. This could lead to fly tipping in the borough which is a public health nuisance.

I share my footpath with my upstairs neighbour. How can we accommodate 4 wheelie Bins, 2 green bins and 2 food bins in addition to the bins we already have. We are advised to take the old bins to the Morden recycling plant - how? I do not own a car or drive and neither do many people who I have spoken to about this. I wish you every success - I'm sure you have many people on your side. It will be a disaster.

Please keep the current system in place. We don't want unsightly bins and we don't want to store rubbish either. Why can't common sense prevail and why do politicians never listen to the people they claim to represent...

Remember the old adage “if it ain’t broke, don,t fix it “. Matters would be considerably helped if the bin men would pick what they drop on the pavements. My street is offen dirtier after the bin collection than before it.

I strongly resist the proposed changes in relation to changing bin collections from weekly to be-weekly.

I don't like or want wheelie bins. We habe enough bins as it is. The rubbish is stinking after one week. Two weekly collections are ridiculous.

Having had extensive problems with rubbish collections, rats, mice and foxes - a move to biweekly collections is madness. Not to mention the health risk in heat like this

It make little sense for the change. Why? Because what will happen the streets will be full of larger wheel bins due to them not being put back on to property. Also instead of no trip from the property to the truck there will be two trips to and from the property. Plus lots of properties don’t have space at the front of the house/flat to hold two/more wheelbins. I don’t believe this will save money over all.

Merton Council is a disgrace. The streets are filthy, road gullies are blocked, footpaths are blocked with basal tree branches, etc..... Also our council tax is doublr that of neighbouring Wandsworth to boot. I call for Merton Council to be divided into East and West and each to have autonomy.

Well done - we spend thousands on maintaining our properties and then ruin everything with unsightly bins stuck outside the front of the house - not to mention the smell.

It is outrageous to cancel our weekly bin collections! We do not get our streets swept on a weekly basis anymore! What next ???!!!!...

The proposed system will confuse many elderly residents and also lead to rubbish tipping in overflowing street bins.
