No need for new bins , just the ones we have already collected weekly.

All the extra bins will be an eye sore in the borough and collections every two weeks will encourage fly tipping

For us in Heights Close a cul de sac road on a steep gradient with most residents in their 70’s the Council’s programme will be a disaster and a no go.

When is this Labour Council actually going to listen to what the residents want. Where are the properties going to put these bins if they have no room to store them - out on the pavement which will become an eye sore.

Any “savings” made by Merton Council will no doubt be spent several times over by the increase in fly tipping that has been the result in almost every area that has instigated fortnightly collections.

Our house is shared by two families. Where do we put all these bins?

I am completely opposed to the introduction of wheelie bins. I have no suitable space to store them. The council say that they are being introduced to increase the amount of recycling. I produce less than half a bin bag of rubbish per week. I could not recycle any more. I have no need of these oversized monstrosities. On collection day my street ( which is a route to & from three local schools & is regularly used by disabled persons in wheelchairs & parents with buggies) will become a navigational nightmare due to with this plastic obstacle course.
This is not the answer. Wheelie bins belong in suburban environments with semi-detached housing/ large frontages, not in an urban setting, or in an area where the housing is predominantly terraced homes with small front gardens

Fortnightly collectiins are completely inadeaquate and with the large Bins at the front gardens our streets will look even more unsightly and messy. We do not want to ruin our lovely front garden by keeping rubbish in it. Furthermore the street will smell and attract pests.

Merton is now known as 'Mucky Merton'. Imagine the fly tipping we are going to witness when residents' waste is only collected fortnigthly!

The are an absolute joke. Fortnightly bin collections. Close Wimbledon police station. Demolish Merton Hall, and council tax has increased.

Without weekly collections there will probably be even more litter on streets. It is so bad now I wonder whether street cleaners are on strike!

Things are dreadful as they are with a weekly collection. How on earth does anyone imagine they will improve being collected less frequently?

Agree to maintain bins collection as they are and no to costly new bins storing rubbish for the council

This will lead to a worse service for residents, and my concern is it could increase fly tipping in the borough.

I do not want 5 bins and a bi-weekly collection, it will attract vermin! Residents should have been consulted rather this being enforced.

I believe weekly collections should continue.
