Sick of the mid information given by politicians when the actual cost will always fall to the general public to pay

I totally oppose the i introduction of wheelie bins and other changes. The Labour council should spend our mo ey on street cleaning - the borough is a disgrace. Unless we complain our street is never cleaned. Also the 'so called meetings" re refuse. They are being held in the daytime when the majority of people are at work and many many people are on holiday!! Clever or just downright out of order? Thank you

I completely agree with this and was disappointed to receive a letter saying that the bin collection was changing to every two weeks as specially as a conservative council let was voted in at the last council elections so thought this might help sway things ...

I do NOT wish to have fortnightly collections as this is disgusting and I also do NOT have space in my front garden. This will cause severe inconvenience.

My mum & dad are in their 70's and not in the best health, they have two cars on their front garden with a small flower bed down one side, there clearly isn't enough room for all these bins? My mum and dad will not be able to drag these through the house in and out each time? I don't think this has been very clearly thought out and a blanket decision has just been made? We need some common sense to take hold. Nobody can be against recycling, it just needs to be though out a lot better, plus it will make the streets look awful, have you seen Kingston Road!, I can't believe that so much money will have been spent on new vans and dustbins, surely, there is a better way and that money can go else where, schools maybe? I also can't reiterate enough how stressful this is, to people who know they won't be able to move bins in and out or have room for them in the first place. Let 's hope common sense prevails!

we need weekly collection on both rubbish and recyclables We need refuse bins with lids on. Current open top ones is not hygienic and weigh too heavy to lift when rain gets in..

please maintain our present refuse collection rota. I do not want large wheelie bins, it will make the streets of Merton look run-down and untidy.

Current system just about working waiting 2 weeks for recycling boxes to be collected will be a nightmare and we have a huge wheelie bin for paper and card! Need to see a breakdown of costs v savings.

no room for wheelie bins and overflowing bins will be unsightly and a health hazard if waste isn't collected weekly. Bins will be on the pavements and cause obstruction for buggies and wheelchairs and pedestrians

Very against this idea. Will not promote more recycling but will create more mess for us all to look at.

My front garden is too small to accommodate two large wheelie bins. Where are we meant to keep them on the pavement??

This plan will just clutter up our small front gardens with big plastic bins, and contribute to uglifying the neighborhood.

How are people with limited outside space supposed to store rubbish for 2 weeks? It’s totally impractical and a health risk.
