Time for people of Merton should only be allowed to work in our community municipal services. THAT must become the DEFAULT,to ensure pride,in the delivery of the services.

This whole scheme is ludicrous. My garden is too small to accommodate wheelie bins but the council argue it is not. I don't use much paper so a paper wheelie bin is ridiculous. I am unlikely to vote Labour in any election after this fiasco. What annoys me is they say they are on the side of the people then blithely ignore the people by coercing us into this scheme.

No space for wheelie bins - unsightly and unnecessary for size of houses

I live in a conservation area where there is a covenant that forbids the use of wheelie bins in our road. I have written to the council pointing this out but received merely a stock reply that did not mention nor address our situation at all

Having waste for this length of time will cause bad odours and increase the chance of rodents.

I don't want 4 bins clogging up my small front garden on a permanent basis, This petition, tho well meant is dead in the water as Merton have decided and the bins have been ordered, we now have to fit in with Sutton and Kingston.

I live in a converted flat not designed for huge wheelie bins there is nowhere to put them other than on the pavement.

In this heat, a two weekly collection is a positive health risk.

Appalled that Merton is forcing this unwanted scheme on residents. So many people have tried hard to introduce better schemes. So many people do not want and have opposed so many bins. So environmentally unfriendly when plastic is causing such drastic pollution. Disgusted with the council for not listening to residents opinions.

We weekly rubbish collections and judging from the mood at the Vestry Hall meeting on Monday the actual wheelie bins in this part of the Borough are not welcome. Weekly street cleaning after the rubbish had been collected used to be a council mission statement. We need that re-instated.

I want to honest open details of the actual cost of the change. The change will make every front garden in Merton an ugly sight.

Please don't change our bin collections, nappies in bins for 2 weeks are rancid.
