do not want ugly bins spoiling our areas, plus I can see problems with overflowing bins , and therefore rubbish in roads.

Why should we put up with 2 week collections. Complicated, and bins will remain on streets when we forget collection dates

The proposed system is a massive backward step and I oppose it totally.

This is ridiculous, no one has thought about it properly nor has anyone actually reviewed the amount of rubbish that is being collected.

I find the proposed changes to the system totally unacceptable.

I do not have space for large wheelie bins

Cost cutting by another name to the detriment of residents. The “weekly” collection had become hit or miss in any event. Bad governance.

Council needs to publish the full business case to justify the changes

Ill thought through proposal that fails to meet needs of residents, particularly those in properties with fewer than 10 units, who are expected to store large numbers of containers for rubbish for 2 weeks

Can’t see why they want to change they will be still coming to empty bins might as well collect all rubbish and sort out when it goes back to the depot

I support all the points on this petition. I do know want the council to buy me wheelie bins and am shocked that to empty these bins it’s necessary to acquire larger vehicles. If one happens to be away on collection day, then the rubbish will have to sit around for a month.i believe this will, lead to more fly tipping.

Whilst I appreciate the need to do all we can to keep costs under control, this does not seem a practical proposition.

The imposition of a fortnightly collection and mandatory bins is unreasonable and unworkable.

I support the weekly rubbish collection. The mice and rats infestation in my property and Merton is ridiculously too much. A biweekly bin collection would make an already worse unbearable situation into living in hellish planet

I object to having large wheelie bins as they look ugly and will ruin the look of small front gardens.

Turning a pleasant residenial road into an unsightly and unnecessary mess, possibly causing unpleasant odour and an outrageous expense apart from the inconvenience for many residence.

I want to keep weekly bin collections, not fortnightly with a garden full of unsightly council bins

I do not want fortnightly bin collections with 2 large plastic wheelie bins, food waste bin and recycling boxes filling up mine and everyone else's gardens. I want my garden, not a council plastic box waste facility, and in heat like this the rubbish will stink. How come continental waste collections are daily and clean and the great Merton Labour council can only manage fortnightly. And don't try to say it is cheaper or better for the residents because it is not.
