Bin collections can already be quite erratic. To introduce fortnightly collections would substantially increase health risks

Where are we supposed to keep these wretched bins if we live in terraced housing. They will be a blot on the landscape and a visual nuisance!

Would like to keep weekly rubbish collections and not have unsightly black wheelie bins, if we have to have them green ones would be better to blend in with the foliage in our front gardens.

Please collect the rubbish bin and recycle once a week!

What chance is there of changing the Labour policy. Why would they take any notice of the petition?

I want pretty flowers outside my house, not rows of multi-coloured wheelie bins.

Merton is not spending enough on public services

Please keep the existing weekly rubbish collection. A fortnightly collection of rubbish is unhealthy, will result in piles of unsightly garbage and will be damaging to the ambience of the neighbourhood.

As 2 pensioners who compost all our waste and only recycle small amounts we don't need wheelie bins. Happy as we are, thank you.

Merton's Labour Council actually belong in one of these bins. I don't mind waiting 2 weeks if it means they'll be collected and recycled.

This is arrogant dismissal of the peoples will. A huge and further reduction in the quality of street management and thus a deliberate attempt to reduce the quality of the local environment. neglect can only lead to further neglect and the councils attitude lacks the vision to appreciate the devastation these action cause. This council is NOT worthy or competent to manage!

This Labour council promised to keep front line services intact, bin clearance, street cleaning etc, these are front line services, they are essentials to our daily lives, and the cleanliness of the bourough. I would also add the the extra noise and pollution of the lorries collecting bins from every house instead of the present system that is place will add to more inconvenience to residence and traffic movement during collection days etc

I can not believe that Merton Council can intelligently believe this will save money - it will add more rubbish on the roads and being dumped without consideration in the Merton Streets Fly dumping is also on the increase!

The rubbish problem we have is not going to be resolved by this new proposal any person with common sense will see this. I don't understand when the building policy has been to maximise density why then you cut the waste down to 2 weeks it's disgusting, if the council can't get to grips with the rubbish problem they have not got a hope in hell with the new proposed system. Idiots.

This is an outrageous waste of money. I also don’t want to hang onto my rubbish. People will just dump the overload elsewhere. Keep things as they are.
