Think bins will be unsightly and cumbersome. Only small minority will be able to store them out of sight. At present all recycling goes in one box but obviously the Council requires us to do sorting in future. For what will obviously be huge cost think rewards will be small. There will still be litter that lazy people will just drop.

Additional bins, especially wheelie bins, are very impractical, resulting in one having to keep them in the front garden if one has room or on the pavement, ruining the look of the house and street. Madness.

The current brown food waist bins are not working anymore as foxes has figured out how to open them. I contacted the relevant department in Merton and they confirmed it but are not going to address it. More and more people have stopped using them decreasing the % Merton is trying to reach for recycling in the borough. Please do something.....

Having additional rubbish bins would be very impractical for us, forcing us to keep them in the front garden ruining the look of the house from the street.

Storing rubbish will only increase rats and foxes and I can't see the value in it. Just sounds like a cost cutting exercise.

I understand the need to make economies but I am not convinced that the Council's proposed approach to waste collection is the right way ahead. For the most part, I am supportive of the Labour Council's policies but in this instance I believe they have got it wrong.

If for any reason, the bins are not collected fortnightly, usually weather related or truck broken down, then collections end up being done just once in a month (happens often in Guildford area), this becomes a health hazard, especially rotting food waste & other biodegradable landfill

Please continue with the present arrangement. As a very elderly resident, I hope I don`t strain my body moving the new wheelie bin even if i`m able. Then off to the Doctor!

The use of these Bins will turn our green and pleasant road into a storage dump, look at Gander Green lane. This Labour party told us they would not impose these bins upon us .We now see them in there true turncoat colours

The rubbish scheme in Carshalton does not work there is filth all over. The food waste, when we got bags, everyone used down my road, now their is only 2 of us. waste of money

I am infuriated by this Council policy. I do not generate much rubbish and yet have to convert my front garden for this purpose. The road will be an eyesore with huge rubbish wheelie bins and smelly as well. It is obvious that this policy has been imposed without popular consultation. There will be an electoral price!

I do not believe a fortnightly collection is viable. Will I get a refund on my council tax if the collection goes to fortnightly?? I think not..

No-one has the space for all these bins. Such a waste of money.

I want to keep weekly waste collections to prevent the proliferation of vermim like rats and smell pollution. I am against the imposition of bigger wheelie bins, I don't have the space in my front garden!

What a terrible waste of resources, Labour planning to provide bins we don't need and encouraging the use of plastic bags for recycling textiles and batteries! NOT what we need in Wimbledon.

how can it possibly be better to encourage vermin to frequent our gardens, drives etc to enjoy the rubbish which we will have to store due to collections being every 2 weeks rather than every week. The finances are a typical labour labour party distortion of the facts

I have never been consulted on the new system despite requesting info. from winter 2016 onwards. The wheelies would have to be parked in a 'wind tunnel' (my side passage) with nothing to weight them down as I have virtually no rubbish and recycling to put out. I don't waste the world's resources!

This will ruin the appearance of our pretty streets by turning our front gardens into bin holding areas. Bins will inevitably be left on the pavement after collections causing obstruction just as they do in areas of Clapham and Wandsworth! It's a ridiculous waste of our Council Tax money.
