This is our money that the council is spending and we have a right to be listened to. I do NOT want unsightly wheelie bins in my lovely front garden, my silver bins look so much better - and what will I do with them now?? I do NOT want nappies sat for two weeks outside my front door, nor want to walk down the streets smelling everbody else's. I do NOT want my money used for a service that I am unhappy with.

I do not want the weekly collection to stop and I do not have storage space for all the extra bins. Give me a lid for the ones I have!!

Why blight our streets and gardens with myriad unnecessary wheelie and recycling bins? Homeowners are rightly up in arms as their front gardens will be obliterated by storing local authority recycling bins - and the streets will become impassable for anyone with mobility problems. Merton needs to report honestly (to our intelligent bunch of residents) how the figures equate to a saving - without including the true set-up costs. Bureaucracy gone mad - yet again!

Unhealthy for the environment to hold on to rubbish for two weeks at home. No compulsory wheelie bins please. Nowhere to keep.

We are lucky enough to have space to store the bins but many
People don’t with the result that the streets ofMerton resemble rubbish tips. Instead of the near rows of houses that we used to enjoy,
It is a proven fact that once an area becomes run down disaster follows

Please keep the present system of weekly collection.
Also being elderly I cannot handle big bins.
Please listen and thank you.

No place to store the bins; the foxes will be delighted with all the extra food!

It's unbelievable the logic of this and where do they think these large bins are going to be stored and why do we still need the recycling bins in their glorious colours. So we are going to see a lovely array of monstrous bins in our front gardens. You cannot be serious about cleaning up mucky Merton!

Keeping open containers for plastic completely defeats the purpose of wheelie bins. Scrap the wheelie bins now!

We already have a problem with Foxes distributing food from boxes into our gardens. Fortnightly collections will make the problem worse. During hot weather the smell will be horrendous.

I object to the expense we will be going to incur for something that nobody wants.

Typical of this Stalinist council always telling people what's best for them not what's best for us - the customers. Collecting rubbish is one of the core activities of a council - not wasting money on family fun days and arts festivals.
I wish to continue weekly collections Thank you
