Our teacher deserve more they are absolutely wonderful

As a Realtor in Benicia I feel it is unbelievable that the teachers we demand so much of have a hard time qualifying to purchase a home in Benicia due to the poor salaries. It is a shame when college educated, credentialed people are treated with such disregard.

Invest in teachers that invest in our children. Put the money where it matters most......Our children's futures depend on it.

Teachers will leave to get better salaries elsewhere. The District should be doing everything it can to retain them.

Giving our teachers a fair raise is a win win for our kids and our community.

Teachers should be one of our highest paid positions.

We NEED are teachers !

We need to attract and retain our good teachers by paying them a competetive salary and benefits package.

Teachers deserve an even bigger pay increase than that. They do so much for our children.

It is night time to pay our teachers what they deserve Our children and their education is our future

Without top-notch teachers, a school district is nothing. Our kids got a wonderful education in Benicia Schools, got into top-notch universities and are thriving adults. Today's kids deserve the same!

Every teacher should be paid more than a professional athlete!

I being a teacher myself(though from another part of the world), feel totally proud of those who decided to rise and demand something that is truly theirs by right. It's a shame that teachers are not appreciated and rewarded for their awesome job, loving hearts and huge responsibility. Our future depends on them. Let's support.

My freshman daughter has experienced disappointment and frustration this year alone. She started with a teacher in Spanish and now taught by Rosetta Stone. She is frustrated as she has no conversation with anyone in class in Spanish. She had a wonderful teacher with Mr Pie (that what the kids call him). She has been tutored since 6th grade including summers. She was getting an A and after winter break they gave her a teacher who was only interested in keeping the job. Not teaching the kids and or connect with them how does an A student go to an F in 4weeks. With various calls into the counselors office and other patents stepping in, the math department finally did something. They now have a great teacher who came out of retirement and she is back on track. This was wasted time on every ones part. Schools highly encourage kids not to miss school, but yet they wayedwanted 4weeks to geyget to the bottom of this math teacher issue. She says it's like a breath of fresh air... Now that coming from a 15 year old say a hell of a lot! It's not just about filling g space it'd about having the right teachers to be able to connect with our kids

Pay them!

My grandchildren are students of BUSD and I can see what wonderful, dedicated teachers they have. They love school, and are scoring very well on all their tests. I also know how hard it is it retain good teachers Please do what you can to keep good teachers in manageable class sizes! Thank you

Teachers should be payed as much or even more than politicians !!!!
