The opportunity to work with the existing IB program is invaluable--can only benefit our children's world education and growth in Mandarin

I toured Carl Hankey last year during their open house and was very impressed with their integrated program. The principal was also previously assistant principal at Lobo so is very familiar with language immersion and would likely be a great advocate.

From all that I’ve learned, Hankey MS & CVHS sound like one of the best feeder patterns for MIP. Thanks for organizing this initiative to help guide MIP’s path going forward! It may have been helpful to list some schools that, for all practical purposes, have been eliminated (due to capacity issues, etc.): Aliso Niguel HS, Ladera Ranch MS, etc. and if possible a short list of other potential feeder paths: Niguel Hills/Newhart MS, Tesoro/Dana Hills HS. Thanks for being proactive & creating this petition. I think 2 areas could be improved: 1) Listing some schools that, for all practical purposes, have been eliminated (due to capacity issues, etc.): Aliso Niguel HS, Ladera Ranch MS, etc. and if possible a short list of other potential feeder paths: Niguel Hills/Newhart MS, Tesoro/Dana Hills HS. 2) The survey (referenced as our collective ranked preference), likely created biased results because it did not include criteria options for choosing a Middle School such as ‘academic ranking’, etc. Would parents be willing to drive a little further from the I-5 FWY if the school had a higher academic ranking? I do realize there is a great deal of complexity with this process and that MIP parents have limited influence. From all that I’ve learned, Hankey MS & Capo VHS sound like one of the best feeder paths for MIP. Thanks for organizing this initiative to help guide MIP’s path going forward.
