Support The Transformative Redevelopment Plan Of Northwood Plaza

This neighborhood needs development. Take a note from Towson!

I live in the Lauraville/Hamilton are and I support this project

I'm a resident of the Hamilton/Lauraville are and support this project along with integrating Morgan State students into the area for residence.

As a resident of nearby Lauraville I strongly support this project, and welcome Morgan students to the area.

Senator Conway, please reconsider your opposition to the Morgan Stare on-site student housing of this project. Numbers of other universities have supported exactly this type of development, and it has been completely transformational to the surrounding areas. MICA in Station North, JHU in Charles Village, are a couple that come to mind. Please help your constituency to see beyond their immediate concerns to the new world of opportunity that this type of development would allow. Many thanks, Marian Weaver

I'd really like to see this sad old shopping center redeveloped.

I AM A MORGAN STATE STUDENT and a Northeast Baltimore resident in that area and I would love Morgan's expansion and a renovated Northwood Plaza to bring in businesses and job opportunities for students and the community.

I think it's a great idea.

Conway needs to go. Morgan students need more parking & shuttles. I'm sick of fighting them parking on our residential streets and it shouldn't cost me to keep them out (parking permit).

This is good for the local community. I promise not to vote for Conway next time she needs my vote.

Joan Conway, is so out dated, where is her replacement. She is so wrong on this one and the main reason these neighborhoods haven't seen any growth.

Build it

I'm not entirely sold on the specifics of the redevelopment plan but I am completely against maintaining the status quo here. Northwood Plaza is my primary shopping center and I use it all the time. As much as I enjoy the line out in front of my friendly liquor store every morning, running the "food stamps for sale" gauntlet every month, and the drug dealing behind my car mechanic's shop, (i'm only being partially facetious.. this is life in the City), I would much prefer a safer, attractive, and walk-able shopping center that my kids could use. Opposing any redevelopment here, solely because of student housing, seems myopic & self defeating. On the other hand it could hurt a lot of people if the Save-A-Lot were to be replaced by a pricier store. Still, there is plenty of room for improvement at Northwood Plaza. I see more advantage than disadvantage coming from redevelopment, for myself, my neighborhood, and Morgan State.

I live less than 3 blocks from the shopping plaza. I have lived in this neighborhood since 1998 and have seen that area decline steadily. This redevelopment plan MUST go through as proposed by Morgan State and others. Whomever is blocking this should no longer be our representative.
