Support The Transformative Redevelopment Plan Of Northwood Plaza

I support the Northwood Plaza redevelopment. It is an important for nearby neighborhoods and for Morgan State to appeal to a larger student base.

The current state of the plaza is a shame. Redeveloping it would compliment the new construction by Morgan State and the surrounding neighborhoods in general

This would revitalize the community, provide jobs, close places to shop and walk to for the community population including students at Morgan State., New businesses would bring revenue to the City.

Oh! What a wonderful idea. First I've heard of this. Great opportunity to raise the value of our homes without another Dollar store. Tired of having to travel to the county for just about everything.

We need something new at Northwood Shopping Center. No more strip malls.

We definitely need this community improvement.

By the way, I am in my third house in the same neighborhood after over 46 years. My daughters went to public schools here and I have loved the community all that time. But I might hesitate before buying here again only because of the shopping center.

We need better stores in the shopping center

When I came to Baltimore in August of 1969 fresh out of college, my realtor (the mother of a college classmate) drove me and my wife down Loch Raven Boulevard straight to 1226 Northview Road. She didn't ask if we liked the place. She simply told us that this is where we were going to live. Perfect! Beautiful streets and houses, no heavy traffic, good neighbors, an elementary school nearby and a nice little shopping center a half mile away. Pantry Pride was the grocery store and it was very nice. There was a movie theatre, a pharmacy, a bank, a liquor store, a dry cleaners, a hardware store, and the Hecht Company had a good sized department store with a very good restaurant. There were other retailers there as well. It was safe, clean and very pleasant. Time passes and with it go many of the good things about that center. Moving to Original Northwood today I would have to seriously weigh whether or not I would want to be located as close to the existing center as I am. In fact, I might be inclined to opt for a place in Charles Village or Hampden over Original Northwood. The housing in those areas is not the same as here but the commercial areas are far superior. I would love to see a rejuvenation of the plaza that compares favorably with the center I knew when I first moved here.

Redevelop the area for the improvement of the community

I am an alumni of Morgan, and this has to happen for Baltimore to grow economically

How can anyone be against this?

This center has been in need of renovation for 40 years. This same type of redevelopment has been done in College Park and is now under construction in Towson to accomodate the expansion of Towson University. This project will be good for the community and Morgan State University.

It would be wonderful to have a modern retail center within walking distance of the Mayfield community.

This development will be good for all.

Of course it's a Conway. Baltimore's own political clown family.

Let's match Morgan's investment in improving our shared neighborhood. I support this project.

Please make this new development a reality ~ Northwood plaza has been a rundown strip mall for far too long. And Bring back The Haven!!!
