Although I didn't have him personally I remember wishing I was reading the same books as his students. Thought provoking literature that questions social norms!

he is an amazing teacher. he is always there for his students and really cares. his teachings arent just the copy and paste normal routine of the common teacher. he goes above and beyond to teach us real literature.

Mr. Peterson and his class is no doubt the reason that I graduated from both Arcadia and ASU.

Since my freshman year of highschool in his English 1 Honors class to a now sophomore in college, I have yet to come across a teacher as compelling and involved with his students as Mr. P. His enthusiasm about literature is something his classes couldn't help but join him in, and the way he allowed us to think in our own creative ways about the writing is something I have yet to come across in another English class. The maturity and depth of the material being taught is something that was beneficial to us as students in that we were encouraged to address very real issues in the literature and our lives that allowed us to truly understand and find the deeper meanings in the books. In a lesser class, real discussion may have been sheepishly dodged in favor of only looking at the polite surface issues of the books; certainly a less educational experience. Mr. Peterson has made a lasting impression on all of his students, and we all love and remember his class as some of our fondest Arcadian memories. He is a staple of our school and it would be a detriment to the education of future Arcadia students if he were to leave.

One of the few teachers who actually taught me anything at Arcadia High. He has my full support.

Mr. Peterson opened my eyes to so many different aspects of English literature and taught us with a passion and supported each and every one of his students to succeed.

Give the guy a break, he's a good teacher and the stuff he teaches is relevant. If you don't want your child to read something then pull them from the class.

Mr. Peterson was my freshman English teacher and now as a freshman in college I can honestly look back and see how that material he taught us helped immensely. It was a great start for challenging literature. If this man is fired Arcadia loses a great educator.

Mr. Peterson was responsible for my love of literature. He was my favorite teacher in high school. Even my parents loved Mr. Peterson. It would be a disservice to all of the Arcadian students if he were to be let go.

I have such fond memories of my 7th grade English class. I ended up getting my degree in English, and despite all of the teachers and classes I took over the years, I still vividly recall the challenging, creative assignments from his class--creating movies, superhero figures, and head-to-head debates on thought-provoking topics. Every kid should have a teacher like Mr. Peterson.

I was blessed to be in Mr. Petersons very first class at Ingleside Middle School. Mr. P was the BEST teacher I have ever had. He is, and always will be my favorite teacher. Mr. Peterson not only taught me how to be a better writer, but to accept myself just the way I was. He wrote a whole page in my 7th grade yearbook that brings me to tears every time I read it. I will never forget him and I hope he gets to continue what he does best, being an amazing teacher and all around great person!

Mr Peterson has and always will be an amazing teacher! Shame on those trying to do this to him! He was the best teacher I ever had at Arcadia! He made me enjoy literature more than ever before. I've got your back, Mr Peterson!
