I'm not sure what could possibly be going on to ever make someone question Dr. Mayer NOT being a part of the program she has built into something so amazing. I have been out of the program for over a year but my experience with Mira was nothing but positive. She is a strong & fierce leader who cares for her students and her program just as fiercely. I support Dr. Mayer 100%.

This program will surely go down without Mira. She has given solid support, superior advising and excellent guidance. Her desire to see all of us in the program succeed is unparalleled. Her expert tutelage, knowledge, and extreme passion for each person in this program is Honorable! She is the reason I am becoming Great Counselor, because of the elite training she requires of herself and Program Professors!

Dr. Mayer is very passionate about this program and she cares a lot about the students. She's always available one way or another to meet and explain students not once but many times any of their concerns. I'm glad she's part of the program and I'm glad to have had a professor like her.

As a student of color, I have witnessed Dr. Mayer take a stand and pave the way for students of color to have a chance at receiving a quality education despite the challenges and obstacles put in her way. Students continually ask and Dr. Mayer once again delivers faithfully despite overwhelming adversity. Through her strong guidance and leadership skills, students in the Advanced Studies department continue to excel. I urge those who are doing harm by her to see reason and know that their current behavior is not only wrong but morally unjust.

I decided to apply to the program after meeting and taking classes with Dr. Mira Mayer in the Spring of 2015. She is an excellent instructor and an even better person. She has repeatedly shown by her actions in and out of the classroom that she holds her students in high regard and advocates on our behalf. Dr. Mayer has my full backing & support!

Mira was the main reason I started this program. She genuinely cares about all of her students and their success following graduation. She is an amazing instructor and will explain something to you until you feel you understand it. She presents employment opportunities and internships for her current and past students. Mira has always made sure that students were ready to graduate and aquired the skills that we need in our career.
Mira is knowledgeable in what she does and I feel is an important asset to the counselor education program. You would be denying future students from having her as an instructor to teach and pass on important skills that are necessary to what we do.
