MDI played a huge part in my formative years as a dance artist. Firstly, they provided vital opportunities for me to train, network and be part of a dance community. Secondly, when became part of the community dance team at MDI, I was able to experiment and develop my practice as an artist beyond working with dancers and within the wider community, including disabled children, older people and pregnant women. It was with MDI that I initiated my now award winning work at a Children's Hospital. MDI is an essential hub for artists alongside all of the wonderful work that is done and the lives that are enhanced through dance within the region.

Dance is a vital component ito the cultural life of this city. But, it has also beeen proven by research to enhance physical and emotional well being as well as artistic pleasure. It should be supported and developed as a vital component of Liverpool life and community!

This action of ACE amounts to cultural vandalism. Where do we go with Dance in the city and the region? It needs to be reversed

Deeply sad move for Liverpool. I've never seen so much dance activity come from such a relatively 'small' organisation. MDI has worked tirelessly to put Liverpool on the dance map - their grant should be trebled - not cut.

We need this initiative in the Liverpool community

MDI champions, initiates, supports and engages with breadth and diversity in dance. MDI championed me. Without MDI my life in dance would have been in poorer health. I champion MDI. Save MDI.

MDI are the regions most important and influential Dance organisation. They celebrate culture, promote diversity in dance and provide performance opportunities for all.

Dance is such a crucial expression for many. Please continue to allow this activity for the sake of the mental and physical well-being of the community.

Don't pull the plug on MDI. Does good work.

In the dance studio of MDI that I have my first friends when move from France to Liverpool 10 years ago. It has a strong sense what community means x

MDI is a crucial platform for dance artists in Merseyside. The work MDI does for the community is instrumental and provides countless opportunities for young people to access dance who would not otherwise be able to do so.

I agree with the statements made in this petition. Liverpool has proven so many times how important a role it plays in the country's cultural and arts heritage. To curtail it is short sighted.
