Ridiculous decision from the council, Edinburgh ' s Christmas won't be the same without Malones. Bring it back!!

Not only is this a great venue, but for the council to do this in the manner they have is really disgraceful to all involved.
Hopefully someone in the council can re-evaluate their decision and consider not only the owners but all staff involved and all performers dependent on employment, especially at this time of year.

Come on guys, give us somewhere central and outdoors so we can enjoy looking at how beautiful Edinburgh is while having a pint and listening to good music. This place was always busy and always a good shout. Please stop rewarding people for whinging all the time. You wouldn’t reward a toddler with sweets for throwing a tantrum. Adults are no exception. Please allow us a venue that so many people enjoyed.

If Malones isn't allowed to open up on top of the mall over Christmas it's a tragedy. It was the best venue for entertainment over the summer and there was never any trouble that i witnessed. For the handful of tourists who may have complained about noise in adjacent hotels there were hundreds who enjoyed spending a portion of their visit at the venue. Makes absolutely no sense from a consumers point of view to deny this set up yet allow all of the other xmas market stalls and venues nearby and across the rest of the city... completely unfair and biased decision!

Malones pop up bar hugely enhanced the buzz of the Edinburgh Festival and brought people together to enjoy brilliant live music in the heart of the city. Surely this is just what Edinburgh needs over Christmas!?

Such an amazing bar and welcomes all people in. Was home to many during the fringe and this should be the case during Christmas. Was never open too late and was never rowdy. Just a fun and friendly atmosphere all round

This was a great addition to the city centre creating a vibrant and friendly atmosphere for a diverse clientele, look forward to seeing it back.
