Malones on the Mall is a fantastic edition to the city and was a huge success in the summer. It should be allowed to continue for the Christmas period, residents and tourists alike will flock to the venue for great food, drinks and fun!

We really enjoyed going here during the summer and were looking forward to it re-opening now. Such a disappointment that the voices of a few are taken more seriously than the majority of locals opinion. Malones on the mall was definitely a valued addition to its location and would be again now. The reasons given for this decision just seem a bit far-fetched to be honest!
I wish this to be reconsidered carefully!

I have stayed in Edin Centre during 17 festival and really enjoyed visits to Malones - lovely and lively even for my age group 50 +. Hope it will be there next year for my hockey team's visit with me to festival.pmc

Noise complaint? A different story when Shudderbelly events etc erect giant beery structures during August/October...? Brings tone down? Perhaps not Scottish enough... like that big German market? The Tories are anti-business.

What a sad decision by Edinburgh Council. I visited Malones pop up at Waverley a couple of times during the festival. It was fantastic. I hope the decision will be overturned and the pop up is allowed to go ahead for Christmas.

Loved this during the summer! Would be great to have at Christmas too! Might spread the crowd out a bit too as it's always very busy at the German market

This affects so many people's jobs! It's awful that the council have done this so last minute, leaving people out of pocket and too late to do anything about it.
