As a Board member of Galway Rural Development, I am disgusted and disappointed at the proposed changes. As a community representative I want the inclusive and bottom up approach of LDCs to remain. The work of our LDC has made such a huge change to our area.

Ballyhoura Development provide essential services to the local community. Its demise would be yet another direct attack on rural Ireland and its on-going sustainability

This will have a huge impact to the rural community. We rely on groups like Ballyhoura to function as a community.

My experience of Ballyhoura Development has been a totally positive experience. I am secretary of AROMA which is a a Tidy Towns organisation and our committee have been greatly assisted by Ballyhoura through advice and also by the TUS scheme in helping present our town in a positive way. I also am involved with our local Writers Group and we have been helped by Ballyhoura. I belong also to Mitchelstown Forum which again Ballyhoura Development played a major role.

Ballyhoura has been paramount in the achievements in Murroe.
Local groups deciding what is best as delivered by Leader Companies is what nis required and they should be retailed.
