The support of the Local Development Companies to local community groups is huge for continuing the development of these communities. East Cork needs SECAD!

I received fantastic support for my enterprises from Avondhu Blackwater Partnership in particular through their role in implementing the LEADER programme. Having dealt with Local Government down through the years in various different capacities I cannot imagine that I would have received the kind of support I did receive from Avondhu Partnership.
Why would you close this onlysupport left for SME in ireland.

We are extremely dissappointed and frustrated to hear that the The Local & Community Development Programme and the Rural Development (LEADER) Programme could be lost from West Limerick Resources. Why break something that is not broken.

I support wholeheartedly the Local Development Companies who have spent many years building support from the bottom up, and have been so responsive to community-based needs. On a personal level I have benefitted greatly from a business course I attended.

Our Governments have taken away the majority of services in rural Ireland without creating any jobs in return. West Limerick has been a champion for the ordinary person with their training and financial supports which has helped people to better themselves and to create their own jobs. I do not trust the Government and the County Councils to continue this support which West Limerick Resources has given for the past 20 years. If West Limerick Recources close the funding will be spent in the city and the country people will lose out.

Ballyhoura has a outstanding record in working with local communities/local facilities and are consistant in their approach to providing funding and other supports.
